So today I found out that I'm related to an actor/comedian. His name is Harland Williams (Check out his website: http://www.harlandwilliams.com/index1.html) and he is apparently my second cousin on my dad's side. He's been in some movies too, like "The Whole Nine Yards", "Freddie Got Fingered", "There's Somthing About Mary", and "Dumb and Dumber" (He played the cop who unknowingly drank pee out of a beer bottle). We were watching the comedy channel today and my mom pointed him out, so me, having my laptop with me as usual, looked him up. He also wrote these children's books about a dinosaur named 'Lickety Split', of which I had several of when I was little. I LOVED those books, (probably cuz it had dinosaurs) and had no idea that they were given to me by the writer himself! (Well, indirectly.. apparently he gave them to my grandma to give to my brother and I)
Anyway, I thought that was cool.
Speaking of dinosaurs, I watched a really cool show on the discovery channel today about early sauropods in the pre-Jurassic era. They were studying the evolution of dinos such as Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus (commonly called Brontosaurus). Anyway, the skeleton of the sauropod they found was actually much smaller than the sauropods that thrived throughout the jurassic and Cretaceous periods. they were expecting them to be bigger. Although if my timeline is correct, the sauropods seemed to get bigger and bigger throughout the Jurassic period, leading up to the GIGANTIC Ultrasaurus and Seismosaurus in the late Jurassic, and the even bigger Argentinosaurus and Paralititan from the Cretaceous period. (Which are also said to be the biggest dinos ever). So I dunno. You'd think the paleontologists would assume that the early sauropods were considerably smaller.....
ANYWAY... I'll stop being a dork now. (I know most of you probably don't know this about me, but I'm a HUGE dino nut. I love dinosaurs, and even wanted to be a paleontologist when I was little... ^_^;;)
In non-dork related news, Kylan stopped by to see me briefly today. He was on his way to Quarda Island to visit a freind and seeing as you gotta go through Campbell to get to Quarda, he decided to visit! It was so nice seeing him. I miss all you Nanaimo peeps soooooo much!!! We talked about having an X-men marathon, now that he has the DVD of the original cartoon ^__^
Anyway, I should get to bed. I probably have to be up early... plus tomorrow night is my girls' night with Sabrina, Liz, and Stephy. Lo and Bobby are coming out to the Voodoo before hand as well, so it sould be tons of fun!!
Peace out and sweet dreams!

thats neat kaitlyn!!!
I know you like dinosaurs,
Remember when we went into the dollar store, and you wanted all the dinosaur toys. I agreed to let you buy them once we live together and set them up somewhere in a closet?
Well I'm expecting to see you to be someone famous in the future.
If you have a x-men marathon you so need to invite me. I havn't seen those in forever, not to mention I havn't seen you in forever.
Oh riiiight!!!! lol I'm gunna get a cardboard box and make it look like a Jurassic jungle, then set up a bunch of dinosaurs!! I'll put them in herds, according to where paleontologists say the particular dinos lived... Maybe I'll make a different one for each era!! Cuz there was three after all.. and different dinosaurs appeared in each of them, like the Tyrannosaurus for instance. Most people assume it was one of the oldest, especially cuz it made a huge appearance (no pun intended) in 'Jurassic' park, but in fact, the T-rex didn't show up until the late Cretacious period, which was the last period in the Mesozoic era. It only lived about 85 million years ago, maybe less, and the dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago. So in comparison to other dinos, T-rex was a n00b...
Kay, I really need to stop.....
Kaitlyn, this is so wierd. I, too, was a huge dinosaur nut when I was little and I, too, wanted to be a paleontologist. And guess what? I had the Lickety Split books too, but I had no idea that they were written by Harland Williams. I LOVED LICKETY SPLIT.
I agree that there should be an X-men animated series marathon. Because the X-men series was the best thing that ever happened to Saturday mornings.
