You know what's sad? This summer. This summer is so crappy. Probably the worst I've ever had. My birthday is coming up in two weeks and I'm so not excited. Usually I'd be counting the days by now, but I'm not looking foreward to it. Knowing my luck, I'll be working that day, and probably the day after. Plus hardly any of my friends will be in town. And Clinton wont be here either cuz Cory's sister is going to Van that weekend. And it's a saturday, so Inna and Liz will be working. It's gunna be a crapy birthday.
And I dunno if I wanna do anything anyway. Lately I haven't been motivated to do anything. I'm just not feeling up to being social. And you know, having like, one person come to my birthday will just depress me. I've always had really really fun birthdays. Like the one year we had a HUGE water fight at the park and ened up sleeping outside on my deck. Or last year when we spent most of the night lying on the trampoline playing 'the queation game'. Everyone always says my birthday parties are so fun, but this one is just gunna stink. And because there is nobody around, I know I'm not gunna get many presents. My birthday is the one time a year I allow myself to be totally selfish and love the fact that I get gifts. But this year I'll get somthing from my parents, my brother, and Steph, for sure, and money for my dad and grandmas. I usually get tons of stuff. I mean really, thats not the suckiest part. I'd rather get no gifts at all and have all my friends come party with me. But that's not gunna happen. I'm probably gunna spent the 29th working, then come home at 11 and sulk in my room for a few hours then go to sleep. I probably wont even bother planning anything since everyone is ALWAYS busy when I have free time.
So screw it all. Woo. I'm 20. Big. Fucking. Deal. Nothing major, right? *eyeroll*
worst. summer. ever.

*hugs* I know what your going through, my first birthday in vancouver was spent working. Get used to it dissapointment is common when your an adult.Friends have grown up and moved away. Take what great moments you have and treasure them. I wish I could come and celebrate but I'm broke and need to attend a job fair, thats just life. I dont want to sound harsh but you sound so sad. Next time I see you I'll give you a big birthday hug and buy you a drink. I havent forgotten bout you and i'll be thinking of you. Cheer up! i miss you!!
I will take you out for a drink FOR SURE... Just let me know when.. we will round up a few people and make the best if it... I know what you mean though, I am going to be in Calgary on my brithday... with NO ONE there but my Dad and Step Family... :(

Tell you what Geoff. If you are willing to pay for my bus trip there and back, find me a place to stay, pay for my food while I'm there, and talk to my boss about getting time off, I'll gladly come visit.
I empathize with you Kitteh. Summer birthdays can go either way, sometimes they kick ass cuz' you can do all sorts of fun things, and sometimes they're lame cuz' everyone is working or already has plans. I hope it works out and you have fun on your birthday. I miss you.
geoff should shut his trap and understand perfectly well that one cannot afford such things when they are broke

did you know, Kaitlyn...that with me working two jobs and getting more than minimum wage at one...that I have a shitload of money? And did you know...that with two MORE freakin people livin in my house, my rent has been reduced even further...to around two hundred dollars? Did you know it takes me around half a week to earn two hundred dollars? Do you know what I'm planning on doing with the rest of that money that I earn?

oh dude..I commented without reading the other comments...and I just read that Drea person's comment. You wanna talk about crappy birthdays! Last year, my mom had just died, and the only people who celebrated my birthday with me was Ace and my sister. I got twenty bucks from my gramma and grampa, Ace bought me something, and Sherayna took me out to dinner (which we got free anyways because she worked there at the time, and her boss felt bad about my "situation").
not to one up anyone, but you gotta admit, that's one ASS birthday! :P

nonon i soo have the best plan... so we are going to postpone your birthday till september... what we are going to do ... is make the 15th of september the "new" july 29th... and becuase i am in charege that is what day it will be in the theatre... and then we will have to have a party cuz we cna;t not have a party on your bithday. so just pretend that you are still the same age now and then when the "new" july 29th comes around we will have your birthdya... cake and everything !
