YAY ME!

Today we had our first rehersal for the Oresteia. It was really just a read through, and we didn't even know our parts yet. But we found out at the end. I really really wanted to be Electra, and I was soooo shocked cuz I actually got the role!!!! Most of the main characters have double roles, so I also play Hermes, who is a silent character in act 3. He is the messenger god (the one with the winged boots) I think he will be fun to play. I did a little research on Hermes and he's a little fucker... lol
Electra is pretty wicked too. She's a really strong character, and I might even get a fight scene!! I'm sooooo thrilled that I got the part I wanted. I've never gotten a part I wanted before. She is in nearly all of act 2, which is cool. She is also royalty, so I'll probably get a fancy lookin' costume. XD I also get to sing, and I'll probably be singing solo. ALSO, I get to dance. That is gunna be fun, cuz it's mostly belly dancing, which I had tons of fun learning at the auditions. Oh, and I might end up having to dye my hair, but that's ok. I wanted to go darker after the Oresteia anyway, so I'm hoping they'll do it for the show, cuz I think it would get done for free....... ^_^
Ashley got Clytaemnestra, which is pretty much the lead role. She suits it very well and I'm glad she got it. That also makes her my mother... XD lol Jordan G got Apollo, which is another great fit. He read the part really well. I think overall, the play is well cast. I'm really excited to start rehersals now. XD *dances*
